We are a Singapore registered business firm. The name Team Spreo A. L. T. sparked many questions amongst our trekking participants, friends, and family members.

Spreo is the scientific name for the North American species of birds more commonly known as Starlings. In Singapore, they are known as Mynahs. Arguably, they belong to the most successful, hardy, and adaptable species of birds.

As a business, we aim to introduce largely explored trekking locations to nature lovers and adventure seekers. We also want to introduce the benefits of outdoor living to the young, helping them see that there is much value in getting out of their comfort zone. When you are out in the wild, you need to look after yourself and others. Out there, nothing can replace the sense of warmth that one experiences when amongst friends.

An important part of our business philosophy is the care for the nature location and the enabling of the local communities that we visit.

From simple acts like not littering while trekking, to clearing up more litter than we bring up, to making small purchases from the street vendor, we hope to extend a hand of friendship to the local folks. Surely eco-tourism can be more than just being about open air villas, elephant rides, and snowboarding.

The initials A. L. T. stand for Adventure & Leadership Training. With the assistance of adventure racing veterans, psychologists, and military leaders, another of our business focus is creating a unique leadership training and assessment course.

The course will draw from proven military leadership training and selection methods. It will be underpinned by strong theory and it will offer participants a quantitative analysis of their performance.

Currently, the course is still under development. We believe that it will be a valuable tool to schools and corporations for the identification and grooming of leaders within their ranks when it is ready.
